William Wordsworth (1770 –
1850) was one of the pioneers of the English Romantic movement. Some of his
noted works include Lines Composed a few

The poet is touched by the
untainted beauty of the morning over the city of London. In his poem,
Wordsworth describes the pure and peaceful beauty of his city before the bustle
and hurry of the day have started. The poet is moved by the somnolent beauty of
the morning that wraps up the city in tranquillity.

The beauty of the morning; silent,

Ships, towers, domes,
theatres, and temple lie
জাহাজ, মিনার, গম্বুজ, নাট্যশালা, এবং মন্দির শায়িত
রয়েছে
Open unto the fields, and to
the sky;
মাঠ পর্যন্ত উন্মুক্তভাবে ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে, এবং আকাশের
সীমা পর্যন্ত;
All bright and glittering in
the smokeless air.
সবকিছুই উজ্জ্বল এবং চমকপ্রদ দেখাচ্ছে ধোঁয়াহীন বাতাসে।
Never did sun more
beautifully steep
সূর্য কখনই এত সুন্দরভাবে কিরন দেয়নি
In his first splendour,
valley, rock, or hill;

প্রথম উজ্জ্বল দ্বীপ্তিতে, উপত্যকা, পাথর, অথবা পাহাড়ে;
Ne’er saw I, never felt, a
calm so deep!
আমি
কখনও দেখিনি, কখনও অনুভবও করিনি, একটা শান্তি এত গভীরভাবে!
The river glideth at his own
sweet will:
নদী ধীরে ধীরে বয়ে চলেছে তার নিজের ইচ্ছায়:
Dear God! the very houses
seem asleep;
হে ঈশ্বর! বাড়িগুলোকেও ঘুমন্ত মনে হচ্ছে;
And all that mighty heart is
lying still!
এবং
মহৎ হৃদয়টি মনে হয় এখনও শুয়ে রয়েছে!
